10.000 hours are necessary to become a good surgeon

144 hours of anatomy training are provided during the curriculum

Surgeons practice their first skills on real patients

With VirtuaOPs we are filling the gap between theory and practice

To become a skilled surgeon, 10.000 hours of practical experience are required. This is in contrast to 140 hours of practical anatomy training in medical school. We can change that with VirtuaOPsVirtuaOPs is a digital anatomy training and surgery simulation, in real time and cloud based.

The user sees the 3D model of a virtual body on his or her tablet or smartphone and can interactively study this body at will. After selecting the body part of interest, the user can virtually dissect this body part and learn about the anatomy of the bones, muscles, nerve tracts and tendons in all detail. In the process, the finger serves as substitute for the scalpel and other surgical instruments.

Unlike competing anatomy trainers, VirtuaOPs allows you to work with virtual surgical tools in real time and thus to perform real virtual operations. Cloud computing allows us to stream the high performance simulation to mobile devices, so no additional hardware is required.
